D. Bezzubov, O. O. Bryhinets, S. Ya. Fursa and Ye. I. Fursa), <strong>associate professors<\/strong> (I. V. Atamanchuk, I. P. Bakhnovska, M. M. Huchko, N. K. Isaieva, M. M. Ihoshyn, Yu. H. Korostashyvets, N. V. Linnyk, O. V. Melnychenko, L. V. Polunina, O. A. Radzivill, M. M. Sychuk and L. M. Shatalova), <strong>senior lecturers<\/strong> (O. A. Bilous, O. A. Lysak and M. V. Ponomarenko) <strong>and a lecturer<\/strong> (A. O. Pekar).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Department\u2019s strong professional expertise is reflected in its membership, which includes: <strong>four Honoured Lawyers of Ukraine<\/strong> (Yu. L. Boshytskyi, V. P. Pylypenko, I. M. Sopilko and S. Ya. Fursa); the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Poltava Region, who also advises Ukraine\u2019s Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications on international humanitarian law (V. P. Pylypenko); <strong>and a member of the Scientific Advisory Councils of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine<\/strong> (I. M. Sopilko).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Associate Professor I. I. Vashchynets, Candidate of Legal Sciences; Senior Lecturer M. V. Ponomarenko, PhD in Law; and Lecturer A. O. Pekar, Candidate of Legal Sciences,<strong> combine teaching and research with legal practice as advocates.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Department of International and Private Law conducts intellectual and creative work in higher education and research to develop, share and apply knowledge, skills and other competencies among students studying<strong> at the first (Bachelor\u2019s), second (Master\u2019s) and third (<\/strong><strong>PhD) levels of higher education in the specialities 081 \u2018Law\u2019, D8 \u2018Law\u2019, 293 \u2018International Law\u2019 and D9 \u2018International Law\u2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--p>\u041a\u0430\u0444\u0435\u0434\u0440\u0443 \u043e\u0447\u043e\u043b\u044e\u0454 \u043a\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0438\u0434\u0430\u0442 \u044e\u0440\u0438\u0434\u0438\u0447\u043d\u0438\u0445 \u043d\u0430\u0443\u043a, \u0434\u043e\u0446\u0435\u043d\u0442 <strong>\u0410\u043d\u0442\u043e\u043d\u044e\u043a \u0410\u043d\u0430\u0441\u0442\u0430\u0441\u0456\u044f \u0411\u043e\u0440\u0438\u0441\u0456\u0432\u043d\u0430<\/strong>.<\/p--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Department of International and Private Law at<\/strong> Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Provides teaching in<\/strong> international law, European Union law, civil law and civil procedure, family law, private international law, labour law and social security law, commercial law and commercial procedure, land law and many other subjects \u2014 <strong>both compulsory and elective courses within the Department\u2019s remit, as provided for by the professional and research-oriented educational programmes in Law and International Law;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conducts research<\/strong> <strong>in the Department\u2019s subject areas<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>E<\/strong><strong>nhances professional expertise and teaching skills<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Upholds professional teaching ethics, respects students\u2019 dignity, fosters their commitment to Ukraine and instils respect for the Constitution and national symbols;<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Develops<\/strong> <strong>students\u2019 and doctoral researchers\u2019<\/strong> <strong>independence, initiative and creativity<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Complies with the requirements of the Laws of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2018On Education\u2019 and \u2018On Higher Education\u2019, <strong>and other regulations governing educational activities<\/strong>, including the internal regulations of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, most members of the Department of International and Private Law <strong>pursue professional activities through participation in professional and\/or civic associations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of International Law and Sectoral Legal Disciplines of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was renamed the Department of International and Private Law of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Order No. 76-OD of 26 September 2025).
