Military Training

Under Resolution No. 866 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 26 July 2001, Kyiv University of Law was included in the list of higher education institutions authorised to train reserve officers.

Training is provided at the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Heroes of Kruty Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, or the Department of Military Training of the National Defence University of Ukraine. Upon completing the programme, students are awarded the reserve officer rank of lieutenant.

has announced a competitive selection of citizens for military training under the reserve officer training programme in 2025.

Duration of study: 2 years

Tuition fee:UAH 13,000 per semester

Admission to the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

is available in the following specialisations:

  1. Law enforcement in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military lawyer);
  2. Civil-military cooperation (lawyer with knowledge of English);
  3. Moral and psychological support of troops;
  4. Military psychology.

  2. Consent to the collection and processing of personal data;
  3. Copy of passport;
  4. Copy of taxpayer identification number;
  5. Copy of initial military registration certificate;

Duration of study: 2 years

Admission to the Institute is available in the following specialisations:

  1. Information protection and cybersecurity in information and communication systems;
  2. Employment of combined formations, military units, and subunits (except communications units and military units and aviation radio-technical support);
  3. Mathematical and software support for automated systems;
  4. Operation and repair of ground-based radio equipment of various power ratings;
  5. Technical support for automated control systems;
  6. Operation and repair of motor vehicles and equivalent equipment;
  7. Organisation of moral and psychological support for troops (forces).

Department of Military Training of the National Defence University of Ukraine

has announced a competitive selection of citizens for military training under the reserve officer training programme in 2025.

Duration of study: 2 years

  • Employment of mechanised units;
  • Employment of artillery units;
  • Employment of air-assault units;
  • Employment of Marine Corps formations, military units, and subunits;
  • Employment of military units and subunits equipped with anti-tank guided missile systems;
  • Employment of engineering and technical units;
  • Employment of engineering, road-construction, and urban-construction units;
  • Employment of tank units;
  • Organisation of operation and repair of armoured vehicles;
  • Organisation of moral and psychological support;
  • Mathematical and software support for automated systems, information-protection systems, and cybersecurity;
  • Organisation of fire safety;
  • Organisation of food, clothing, naval stores, and retail and welfare support.

Duration of study: 1 year

  • Employment of mechanised units;
  • Employment of air-assault units.

The tuition fee for applicants entering the Department of Military Training in 2025 under the reserve officer training programme is UAH 32,600. The fee is the same for the two-year and one-year programmes.

DOCUMENTS:

  • Two copies of the passport;
  • Passport extract (for an ID card);
  • Two copies of the taxpayer identification card;
  • Two copies of the initial military registration certificate (except for women), or one copy of the military ID;
  • Handwritten autobiography;
  • Four colour photographs, 3 × 4 cm;
  • The Department of Military Training of the National Defence University of Ukraine issues referrals to the Military Medical Commission.
