A scientific-practical conference was held at KUL NASU for Lawyer’s Day
On the occasion of Lawyer’s Day, a scientific-practical conference was held at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the topic: Current Issues of Modern Legal Science and Practice in the Context of Martial Law.
With a welcoming address to the participants of the round table, the Vice-Rector for Research of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, addressed the attendees – Volodymyr PYLYPENKO, noting that traditionally, on the occasion of Lawyer’s Day, the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine holds scientific and practical events, conferences, and thematic round tables to discuss current issues. During martial law, addressing urgent matters of protecting war victims, the legal protection of affected populations, and compensation for incurred damage is on the agenda of every state institution. Also, welcoming remarks were made to the participants of the event by: Inna Yemelyanova, Deputy Chairman of ICAC (International Commercial Arbitration Court) and MAC (Maritime Arbitration Commission) under the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Kateryna HOLOVKO, Director of the publishing house ‘Juridica’; Doctor of Law, Professor, Yuriy PETRENKO, Managing Partner of ADER HABER Law Firm, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Kateryna KARMAZINA, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of General Legal Disciplines of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Maritime Law and Management of NU “Odessa Maritime Academy”, lawyer, Secretary of the Bar Council of the Odessa region. Invited guests noted that despite the martial law in the country, research work continues to be an integral part of scientific activity at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. That is why the development of science is a decisive factor in the progress of society, the improvement of its well-being, and its spiritual and intellectual growth.
Event moderator: head of postgraduate studies, PhD in Law, associate professor Raisa PERELYGINA She noted that young scientists from all corners of Ukraine continue to develop their scientific ideas and publish them, showing the strength and spirit of unbreakable youth, the strength of the scientific community, which is constantly developing, demonstrating unity and cohesion.
Postgraduate students and students prepared informative reports with presentations. Among the speakers, a postgraduate student can be singled out Vyacheslav LYSENKO on the topic «Problems of civil liability for copyright infringement on musical works in Ukraine»; Dmytro KUCHERIAVY on the topic ‘Comparative analysis of changes in Ukrainian legislation regulating the issue of concluding contracts for the provision of financial services’; Zinaida KUSHNIR with the topic «Legal regulation of the advertising development process; Romana MAGERU with the topic «Features of determining the deadlines for submission and consideration of complaints about violations of legislation in the field of public procurement Serhiy VLACHYHA on the topic ‘Termination of charter (freight) contracts for sea vessels during wartime in Ukraine’; Valeria LIKHVARYA with the topic «Additional codification of forms of material and non-material (political) responsibility as a basis for the progressive development of international law Roman ZAKHARCHUK with the topic «Reforming the Military Law Enforcement Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Context of NATO Standards and Prospects for Scientific Research Tetiana BEZDITNA with the topic «Topical issues of the prosecutor’s office activities under martial law Anton ZABARIN with the topic «Liquidation Procedure as a Tool for Satisfying Creditors’ Monetary Claims”, etc.
During the conference, a presentation of the collection of works by young scientists and graduate students took place. The work considers theoretical and applied problems of criminal law and criminology, constitutional and administrative law, the theory of state and law, civil and commercial law, international law in modern conditions. This scientific work is intended for teachers, graduate students, master’s students, students, as well as all those who have an interest in the general theoretical problems of modern state-building and law-making in contemporary conditions.
