
At KUL NASU, the ceremonial awarding of diplomas to the 2026 graduates took place
On June 30, 2026, a special atmosphere of uplift, pride, and bright hopes prevailed at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This day became a landmark for the graduates, who, in a solemn setting, received their well-deserved diplomas and officially joined the ranks of the legal and diplomatic elite of our country. To the majestic and moving chords of the world student anthem ‘Gaudeamus,’ yesterday’s students took their first, yet confident, step into adult professional life.
This year’s celebration has become symbolic, as it is dedicated to a significant anniversary — the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine. It is also symbolic that over three decades of its operation, the university has graduated almost 18,000 specialists.
The Rector of the university addressed the graduates with a welcoming speech Yuriy BOSHYTSKYI, who emphasized the importance of the mission of future lawyers and internationalists in building a democratic state. Young colleagues were also sincerely congratulated on the holiday Serhiy PIROZHKOV – member of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, academician of the NAS of Ukraine, MYRONENKO Petro – President of the Academy of Political and Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Grigol KATAMADZE – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine, Viktor KOVALSKYI – President of the publishing house ‘Yurinkom Press’, editor-in-chief of the newspaper ‘Legal Bulletin of Ukraine’, Doctor of Law, Professor, Mykola MATYORA – a representative of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine. The honored guests noted the high level of training and integrity of the KUL NASU students. From Viktor KOVALSKY, commemorative diplomas and honorary certificates for active work in the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine were received by the Vice-Rector for Administrative Work of KUL NASU Anatoliy MARKEVYCH and Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Head of the Scientific and Advisory Center KUL NASU Yuriy KOVALCHUK. Before the graduation ceremony, the university received from Mykola Shymoni the book ‘Malevich and Ukraine’ Dmytro HORBACHOV. And also from Aikhana OZDEMIR Valuable gifts were presented on the occasion of the successful completion of studies.
