Bibliographic review ‘Scientific Achievements of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine’ for Science Day in Ukraine
One of the priority areas of development of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is the research activity of the faculty, aimed at meeting the needs of the educational process of the institution of higher legal education.
Among various scientific activities, the publication of monographs, collections of materials from international and all-Ukrainian scientific and scientific-practical conferences, and other scientific works occupies an important place. Publishing activity, as one of the directions of the university’s scientific work, aims to improve the provision of teaching academic disciplines included in the educational plans of the university’s specialties, as well as to implement the results of scientific research. Despite the martial law, in the period from 2023 to 2025, KUL NASU published a number of monographs and materials from conferences, round tables, and other scientific events.

The monograph is devoted to the current problems of the theory of civil law in Ukraine. It highlights the theoretical problems of securing the performance of obligations in Ukrainian civil law, scientific theoretical ideas, discussions, legal acts, and the problems of their application.
The book examines the doctrinal provisions of the civil law framework in the field of regulating security legal relations, the peculiarities of applying types of securing the fulfillment of obligations in specific areas of civil relations, the peculiarities of using objects of civil rights in obligational relations, and so on. Based on the results of the research, gaps in the civil legislation of Ukraine have been identified, ways to increase the effectiveness of legal norms have been proposed, and scientific proposals for improving the legal regulation of relations in the field of civil law have been formulated.

Scholars and postgraduate students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine have drawn a number of conclusions regarding the improvement of legal norms that guarantee the protection of citizens’ rights, strengthen the Ukrainian legal system, and ensure the adaptation of domestic law sectors to the new challenges posed by martial law and post-war reconstruction.
