Congratulations to the KUL NASU team ‘Alliance of Themis’ on their victory – 2nd place in the XIV All-Ukrainian Legal VIP Tournament

On March 28, 2025, on the basis of the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” XIV All-Ukrainian Legal VIP Tournament among student teams, organized by the Council of Young Lawyers of Ukraine. The competition involved 17 teams from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine (State Tax University; State University of Trade and Economics; State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”; Kyiv Cooperative Institute of Business and Law; Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University; Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Kyiv Professional College of Tourism and Hotel Management; Lviv University of Trade and Economics; National Transport University; National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic”; National University “Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuri Kondratyuk”; Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University) Gogol; Private Higher Education Institution ‘European University’; Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine; Poltava Law Institute of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University; Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University; Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

With words of greeting to the tournament participants addressed scientific secretary of the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court, judge of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Oleh Tkachuk, Deputy Head of the Central Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice − Kyiv Vitaliy Hdychynskyi and the chairman of the board of the Legal Association ‘Dobrosud’ Tetyana Ohnev’yukThey noted the importance of such events for the development of legal education, improving the training of future lawyers, and strengthening the rule of law.

The tournament became a real challenge for the participants, as the teams’ level of preparation was extremely high. Based on the results of the qualifying rounds, four teams advanced to the semifinals:

• ‘The Themis Alliance’ (Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine);
• «Adiutorium» (National University ‘Chernihiv Polytechnic’);
• “Legal Guard” (Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine);
• Themis on the Case (Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs).

Special greetings to the team Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which won the honorable second place on XIV All-Ukrainian Legal VIP Tournament 2025! This is a great achievement, which demonstrates the high level of students’ preparation, their perseverance, and their desire to win.
