Rector Continues Working Meetings in Uzhhorod

During a working visit to the Uzhhorod branch of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Rector and Professor Yurii Boshytskyi met the deans of two faculties at Uzhhorod National University: Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, Doctor of Political Sciences and Professor Mykola Palinchak , and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences and Professor Yaroslav Lazur.

During his meeting with Professor Mykola Palinchak, the Rector learned about the history of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, its teaching and research, modern facilities and plans for further development. The faculty’s experience, achievements and high standards of teaching made a very positive impression.

The discussion covered current challenges in higher education, stronger international cooperation, innovative approaches to teaching and opportunities for joint research and publishing projects.

As a gesture of respect and to strengthen the partnership, Rector Yurii Boshytskyi donated academic and teaching publications prepared by Kyiv University of Law’s lecturers to the faculty. The participants also agreed to involve researchers from the Faculty of International Economic Relations in preparing and publishing joint academic works with the University and its partners.

Given their shared research interests in international law and international relations, both sides expressed an interest in further academic contacts, joint scholarly events and inter-university initiatives.

The Rector held a separate meeting with Professor Yaroslav Lazur, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Uzhhorod National University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and Doctor of Legal Sciences. They discussed the development of contemporary legal education and research, improvements to professional legal training, links between research and teaching, and opportunities to take part jointly in academic conferences, exchanges and publishing projects.

These meetings marked an important step in expanding cooperation between Kyiv University of Law and Uzhhorod National University, opening up new opportunities for joint educational, research and international initiatives.
