Educational visit of KUL NASU students to the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine

On October 28, 2025, as part of educational activities organized by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Vladimir Pylypenko, with the assistance of the head of the apparatus of the Cassation Administrative Court Nataliya Bohdaniuk accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Educational and Career Guidance Work Mariia Huchko An excursion to the Administrative Cassation Court as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine was conducted for second-year students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Head of the Cassation Administrative Court visited the students Mykhailo Smokovych, who gave a short lecture dedicated to the role of the judiciary in ensuring the rule of law. He shared with the students his own experience in judicial work, talked about the challenges and advantages of the judicial profession, and also wished the students inspiration and success in their future legal careers.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with procedural documents, see how their registration takes place, and how they are distributed among judges using an automated system.

In addition, the students had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a real court proceeding, participate in a case simulation, and see firsthand how the principles of the rule of law and justice are implemented in practice. This practical experience allowed the participants to gain a deeper understanding of the organization of the court’s work and the specifics of document flow in real conditions.

At the end, they discussed the prospects for further cooperation between the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court and the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — in particular, in the direction of educational initiatives, practical training of students, and joint projects.

Such events help students not only to acquire theoretical knowledge, but also to see how it is implemented in professional practice, shaping a new generation of lawyers in Ukraine.
