October 2, 2026

An important step in developing the University’s research, educational and human resources capacity was taken today with the signing of a Cooperation and Strategic Partnership Agreement between Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Human Resources Potential Academy.

The Academy was represented at the signing ceremony by its leadership:

  • Olha Mykolaivna Vovk – President of the Academy, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor and Director of the Integrated Centre for Virtualisation and Dissemination of Foresight Research at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute;
  • Yurii Ivanovych Shypka — First Vice-President and Head of the Academy’s Projects;
  • Pavlo Petrovych Vovk — Director of the Academy, PhD in Economics and Head of the Centre for International Urban Studies.

The University delegation was led by Rector Serhii Matvieiev; Vice-Rector for Student Development and Career Guidance Hanna Hurina; Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs  Anatolii Markevych ; Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs Volodymyr Pavlov; and Academic Secretary Olena Romanova.

The agreement opens a new stage in cooperation between the two institutions, bringing together fundamental legal research, public administration, HR technologies and contemporary approaches to human capital development.

Key areas of cooperation include:

  1. Developing professional capacity and soft skills — joint training sessions, workshops and practical programmes to help university students build modern management, communication and specialist competencies.
  2. Strengthening career guidance — integrating the Academy’s resources into the University’s ‘academic protectorate’ initiative and its support for schools in Kyiv and Kyiv Region, alongside joint career events for prospective students.
  3. Joint educational and research projects — developing certificate programmes and organising round tables, conferences and practical workshops on legal support for business, HR auditing and rebuilding Ukraine’s workforce after the war.

Participants emphasised that cooperation between a leading university within the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Academy can help develop highly capable legal and management professionals able to respond effectively to today’s challenges.

We are confident that this partnership will be productive and open up broad new opportunities for our students and academic community!
