Partnership for Education: Continuing Cooperation between KUL NASU and the Skole Community
On July 22, 2026, the rector of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, professor Yuriy Boshytskyi within the framework of a working visit and at the invitation of the mayor of the Skole City Council of the Stryi district of Lviv region Mykola Romanyshyn visited the Skole City Council. The head of the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Promotion of the Skole City Council also took part in the meeting Volodymyr Krushelnytsky.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation between the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Skole territorial community. Special attention was paid to issues of career guidance for students, the promotion of legal education and the legal profession, as well as the transfer of scientific and educational-methodical legal literature to the community’s libraries for use by students, teachers, library staff, and anyone interested in legal topics.
A separate topic of the meeting was the activities of the Academy of Political and Legal Sciences of Ukraine, whose vice president is Professor Yuriy Boshytskyi. Participants discussed prospects for the development of scientific cooperation, support for scientific and educational initiatives, involvement of specialists in the implementation of joint projects, and strengthening interaction between the scientific community and local government bodies.
After the meeting, representatives of the Skole City Council, headed by Mayor Mykola Romanyshyn, invited Rector Yuriy Boshytsky to the Skole City System of Public School Libraries, whose director is Oksana Vegera.
During the rector’s visit, they were introduced to the work of the library system, its book collections, and areas of activity. The meeting was attended by the lead librarian of the children’s library. Oksana Borys, senior librarian of the adult library Olha Zalischuk and librarian Olha Fedynyshyn.
In a warm professional atmosphere, a conversation took place about the role of the modern library as a center of education, culture, and community life. Library staff shared their experience working with readers of different ages, spoke about events aimed at promoting books, developing reading culture, and supporting youth. Yuriy Boshytsky emphasized the importance of access to high-quality scientific and legal literature, as libraries play an important role in shaping legal culture, developing education, and self-education. At the end of the meeting, the rector of KUL NASU transferred specialized legal publications, prepared by scientists from the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, to the fund of the Skole City system of public-school libraries, as well as cultural and educational materials. and educational-methodical literature, as well as informational and promotional materials of KUL NASU.
The books were provided within the framework of the project “Promotion of Legal Education and Profession among the Student Youth of Ukraine,” which is implemented by the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine under the patronage of the rector, Professor Yuriy Boshytsky. Such publications are an important source of knowledge for student youth, educators, and libraries, contributing to the promotion of Ukrainian science, law, culture, and education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants emphasized that the partnership between the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Skole community is systemic in nature and will continue to develop through the implementation of joint educational, educational, and cultural projects.
