Rector Meets Hungary’s Consul General in Uzhhorod

At the invitation of Hungary’s Consul General in Uzhhorod, József Bacskai , the Rector of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Yurii Boshytskyi visited the Consulate General for a meeting on current opportunities for Ukrainian–Hungarian cooperation in education and research.

Particular attention was given to the Rector’s recent visit to Budapest and his meetings with representatives of Hungarian educational, research and public institutions.

Yurii Boshytskyi outlined the University’s main activities and presented the Consulate General with University publications and information materials.

József Bacskai is already familiar with the University’s work through earlier meetings with the Rector and his participation in events in Uzhhorod. He attended the signing of a cooperation memorandum with the Ferenc Rákóczi II Hungarian Institute in Berehove and has visited art exhibitions involving Kyiv University of Law.

The discussion also covered the University’s Uzhhorod branch, its Research and Advisory Centre. The Hungarian side expressed a willingness to help share information about the Centre’s work, including educational and academic events, grant opportunities and international projects.

The meeting confirmed a shared interest in developing the partnership and strengthening Ukrainian–Hungarian cooperation in education and research.
