August 26, 2026

Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted a meeting between its Rector, Professor Yurii Boshytskyi, and Ukrainian civic leader and PhD in Law Inna Sylantieva, whose substantial contribution to social work has been recognised by a UNICEF unit.

Inna Sylantieva heads the Women for Change civic organisation, which brings together women from different professions. She is also the founder of the Inna Sylantieva Charitable Foundation and President of the Association for Social Development Through Law.

Over the course of her civic work, Inna Sylantieva has developed and organised more than 500 social, cultural and charitable projects. Many of these initiatives support children and young people, nurture their abilities and create opportunities for personal and professional fulfilment.

The meeting explored prospects for further cooperation between the University and Women for Change. Particular attention was paid to career guidance for young people, joint academic and educational events, and social and cultural initiatives.

The Rector introduced his guest to the University, its learning environment and the distinctive museum displays created by its staff. The tour offered an insight into the University’s history, research traditions and the people shaping its work today.

At the end of the meeting, Inna Sylantieva received academic publications prepared by the University’s researchers.

The meeting was warm and constructive. Both sides expressed an interest in continuing their dialogue and developing joint projects to support young people, advance education and research, and deliver initiatives of public importance.

The agreements reached will provide a foundation for further cooperation and for a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership, scheduled to be signed on 1 September 2026.

Developing partnerships of this kind is an important part of the University’s work. They expand opportunities for students and young people, support educational and research initiatives, and open new avenues for professional development.
