Students and teachers of KUL NASU celebrated International Day of Peace

September 19, 2025

September 21 is celebrated worldwide International Day of Peace – a holiday that symbolizes humanity’s aspiration for harmony, mutual understanding, and the cessation of armed conflicts.

On this occasion, first-year students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine prepared for Peace Day with great enthusiasm, to convey to everyone how deeply they desire peace.

First-year female student Karina Tishchenko impressed everyone by reciting her own poem titled Peace through the eyes of a soldier. The sincerity and depth of her words touched everyone’s heart. It is extremely important that our university has such talented students.

Also, with a minute of silence they honored the memory of the fallen heroes in the war for Ukraine’s independence, paying tribute to their courage and sacrifice.

The event was attended by the rector of KUL NASU, professor Yuriy Boshytskyi, who addressed the students with a sincere welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of unity and peace for Ukrainian society.

Teachers and department heads actively supported the student initiative, as they understand how important it is to feel the support of adults on this special day. The rector expressed gratitude to the students for their creative contribution to the celebration of International Day of Peace and presented each participant with a notebook as a gift, where they can record interesting thoughts and ideas.

At the end of the event, the students, together with the rector, teachers, and department heads, tied blue and yellow ribbons on the viburnum as a sign of unity and support for peace.
