Students of KUL NASU took part in the clean-up held at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine

On April 4, 2026, the higher education students of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, led by the rector, professor Yuriy Boshytskyi visited the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, the famous open-air museum in Pyrohiv, with the aim of participating in the traditional cleanup after the winter period.

The event became a confirmation of the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation between the university and the museum, demonstrating the effectiveness of the partnership. Such interaction provides students with the opportunity not only to engage in socially useful activities, but also to be inspired by the unique architectural and landscape complex, which represents all the historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine. Participants had the chance to immerse themselves more deeply in the atmosphere of a traditional Ukrainian village and to experience the authenticity of folk life.

The participants of the event were first-, second-, and fourth-year students who showed initiative in contributing to the improvement of the skansen’s territory, particularly the area where the ethnographic house representing the Zakarpattia region is located. During the cleanup, the students collected fallen leaves and branches, tidied up the area after the winter period, and prepared the museum space for the active tourist season. The joint work contributed to the development of team spirit, responsibility, and respect for cultural heritage.

During the visit, the participants also had the opportunity to walk along the picturesque paths of the museum, view examples of folk art, traditional residential and farm buildings, and also enjoy the beauty of nature. A particular impression was made by the harmony of the combination of architecture and the natural landscape, which creates a unique atmosphere of Ukraine’s historical heritage.

Such activities contribute to the deepening of historical knowledge of the learners, the development of their spiritual culture, the broadening of their worldview, and the formation of a conscious attitude towards preserving national heritage. They also foster civic responsibility and an active life position among young people.
