Students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine participated in the national student summit

On October 17, 2025, as part of educational events initiated by the head of the public organization “WOMEN FOR CHANGE” by Iryna SOPILKO, in the building of the Ukrainian State University named after Mykhailo Drahomanov, an offsite summit was held on the topic: “Think globally, act locally: shaping a new generation of change leaders”.

Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine acted as a co-organizer of the event, which constantly supports initiatives aimed at the development of youth leadership.

Teachers and students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (KUL NASU), as well as representatives of the student body of the Rivne Institute of the Kyiv University of Law NASU (RIKUL NASU), were invited to the summit.

With a welcoming speech to the participants of the event on behalf of the rector of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yuriy Boshytskyi the Vice-Rector for Educational and Career Guidance Work of KUL NASU addressed Maria HUCHKO, who emphasized the importance of an active civic stance of youth and their involvement in socially significant discussions.

Acted as a speaker Olena ROMANOVA, Associate Professor of the Department of General Theoretical, Legal, and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines, who focused attention on the implementation of educational tasks in wartime conditions, in particular — the importance of supporting students and forming value orientations.

Spoke on behalf of the KUL NASU student community Eduard DOROFYEEV, a first-year student of group PB-11d, who shared his own vision of the role of youth in shaping the future of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of educational activity and inter-university dialogue.

Rivne Institute of KUL NASU represented Yuriy KUDNYTSKYI, the head of the student parliament, who drew attention to the need to unite students from all over Ukraine to support initiatives in the field of human rights, veteran reintegration, and the promotion of democratic values.

Within the summit there was:

• discussed the possibilities of actively involving students in community initiatives;
• practices of interaction between educational institutions and veteran organizations are presented;
• Ideas for further joint activities between universities have been developed.

The event became another important step towards forming an active, socially responsible student body capable of influencing social processes and building a democratic Ukraine.

The participants agreed on further cooperation within the framework of nationwide initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of education in the transformation of society.
