The ‘Small Encyclopedia of International Migration Law’ was published at KUL NASU
The ‘Small Encyclopedia of International Migration Law,’ prepared by an author team, has been published. Rivne Institute of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine under the leadership of the rector of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Yuriy BOSHYTSKYI.
Exit “Small Encyclopedia of International Migration Law” is extremely relevant during the martial law period, since the Russian-Ukrainian war has triggered an unprecedented crisis of the displacement of millions of Ukrainians, and large-scale forced migrations of the population require clear legal regulation.
The publication comprehensively reveals the basic concepts and categories of migration law, their place in the system of national and international law, as well as the principles, sources, subjects, migration-legal relations regulated by current migration legislation in the context of Ukraine’s European integration.
The encyclopedia is composed of a preface, encyclopedic articles, a selection of thematic Latin expressions, and a list of literature. The conceptual and terminological apparatus, systematized according to the alphabetical principle, ensures quick search of the necessary information.
The publication corresponds to the current requirements of the state educational standard of higher education.
During martial law, this encyclopedic publication will serve as a practical tool for quickly navigating complex legal issues, an indispensable instrument for protecting the rights of internally displaced persons and Ukrainians abroad. The encyclopedia will help students, graduate students, scholars, teachers, and civil servants correctly interpret legal definitions of migration law, as well as contribute to increasing the level of legal literacy among Ukrainians, necessary to overcome crisis migration challenges.

‘The Small Encyclopedia of International Migration Law’ is the eleventh book unique series ‘Small encyclopedias’ – a fundamental publishing project of the scientists of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is being implemented on the initiative and under the general editorship of the rector, professor, honored lawyer of Ukraine Yu. L. Boshytskyi.
