A scientific-practical seminar on the topic: ‘The Face of the Modern Ukrainian Politicum’ was held at KUL NASU

On May 3, 2023, a scientific-practical seminar on the topic was held at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: ‘The Face of the Modern Ukrainian Political Sphere’The event was organized by the head of the Department of General Theoretical Legal and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines by Serhiy Matviyov with the participation of the head of the Department of International Law and Sectoral Legal Disciplines Oksana Khorvatova and associate professor of the Department of General Theoretical Legal and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines Olena Romanova’s.

The scientific event became a logical continuation of the previous scientific-practical seminar “Challenges and Consequences of Modern Politics”, which took place two weeks earlier. The theme of the events greatly interested the first-year students, and they showed extraordinary activity both in preparing presentations and during the rather lively discussions.

During the scientific and practical seminar, first-year higher education students Viktoriya Chumak, Kseniya Yatsenko, Viktoriya Nevmerzhytska, Karina Savenko prepared interesting messages with a historical and political analysis of the activities of well-known domestic politicians of today. This time, the activities of the candidates for analysis included Viktor Yushchenko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Oleksandr Turchynov and  Vyacheslav Chornovil.

The presentations were illustrated with sufficiently informative slides and sparked lively discussions in the audience, accompanied by questions from the participants.

The ongoing activity and interest of students in studying the contemporary domestic political scene allows considering the issue of the feasibility of creating a scientific club in this direction.
