At the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Open Day was held online once again.
On May 2, 2024, the graduates met with members of the Admissions Committee, the head of the Department of General Theoretical Legal and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines Serhiy Matveyev, member of the Admissions Committee, academic secretary, head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Valeriy Andrusiv, head of the Student Parliament Margarita KOROLYOVA, responsible secretary of the Admissions Committee, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Ivan KANFUI.
Today, 104 senior students from Verkhnyachkivskyi Secondary School I-III degrees of Skole District, Lviv Region, Perechyn Lyceum of Uzhhorod District, Zakarpattia Region, and Sutyska Lyceum of Vinnytsia District, Vinnytsia Region, as well as 11 guests who learned about our university through social networks, visited the university.
Member of the Admissions Committee, academic secretary, head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Valeriy Andrusiv briefly told the guests the history of the university’s creation, its features, informed about the specifics of the educational process, drew attention to the fact that 8 museums have been created and operate at the university, which is its hallmark, due to which the university was entered into the Book of Records of Ukraine.
Head of Department Serhiy Matviev he told the guests about the features of the initial stage of studying at the university, about the importance of the legal profession and its demand in our society, drew attention to the possibility of obtaining, at the university, a second profession as a translator.
Valeriy Andrusiv, Already as the head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, he informed the graduates that the core teaching staff of the department is composed of scholars with extensive practical experience in all areas of law, which helps to enhance the level of knowledge acquired by the students and serves a significant career guidance function.
Head of the Student Parliament Margarita Korolyova In her speech, she focused on the forms of student self-government, its areas of activity, and talked about the fairly busy rhythm of student life at KUL NASU, filled with various interesting activities.
Responsible Secretary of the Admissions Committee Ivan Kanfui I drew the students’ attention to the new features of this year’s entrance marathon, the specifics of the Admission Rules for studying at our university.
A feature of today’s event was the holding of master classes for students of the Perechyn Lyceum, in the conduct of which a postgraduate student of our university participated in offline mode Dmytro HRYNIO, and online – Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Branch Legal Disciplines Ivan VASHCHINEC and Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Ivan KANFUI. Future students were informed about the prospects of their employment. The speakers talked about the peculiarities of working in various areas of applying legal knowledge and the specifics of working in positions that require it.
This experience prompts us to diversify work in the field of career guidance.
