Master class for KUL NASU students by the insurance broker ‘StarLife’

As part of the series Professional Dialogues For students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the 4th year of the specialty 081 ‘Law,’ a regular meeting with potential employers took place. This time, a training session on the topic was held for students of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. “Current Issues of Life and Health Insurance in the Conditions of Martial Law”The master class was organized by the Department of International Law and Sectoral Legal Disciplines for 4th-year students majoring in 081 ‘Law’ within the framework of the academic discipline ‘Insurance Law’.

The master class took place in both offline and online formats, and its venue was the office of the insurance intermediary, a leader in the life insurance market – the company «StarLife».

The master class for students was conducted by the director and co-owner of the company ‘StarLife’, Ms. Grubrina Alla Leonidivna, who spoke about the fact that life insurance as a service for citizens dates back many thousands of years. Modern global experience in life insurance indicates that this service is one of the ways to secure oneself and one’s family for the future. Life insurance makes it possible to facilitate the transfer of property, create financial funds for various purposes (for example, inheritance or funeral expenses). In addition, the widespread use of life insurance contributes to reducing social tension and the burden on the country’s social budget. At the end of the master class, students had the opportunity to ask the lecturer questions, learn about the specifics of life insurance companies’ activities in Ukraine, as well as about the requirements for undergoing work practice in this field. The moderator of the event from the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was Associate Professor of the Department of International Law and Sectoral Legal Disciplines, PhD in Law, Associate Professor Khorvatova Oksana Olehivna.
