Quest-competition on the topic: ‘Outstanding Conflict Specialists’

From November 25 to December 10, 2023, a series of events dedicated to the annual International campaign ’16 Days Against Violence’ took place at KUL NASU.

The organizer and moderator was Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, PhD in Law, Associate Professor Veselovska Nataliya Oleksandrivna.

On December 5, 2023, a quest-competition on the topic: ‘Outstanding Conflictologists’ took place, because it is precisely scientists who first help with their research not only to get out of a conflict, but also to understand its causes, possible consequences, stop escalation, and we can then implement this in practice.

The event was attended by fourth-year higher education students. The quest, in which the students demonstrated their knowledge, took place within the educational process, namely in the study of the discipline ‘Legal Conflictology,’ and the work of the student scientific club ‘Criminologists Club’.

We considered outstanding scholars – philosophers, rhetoricians, conflictologists, sociologists, psychologists: Lewis Alfred Coser, Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, Max Weber, Epicurus, Thomas Hobbes, Georg Simmel, Niccolò Machiavelli, Wilhelm Maximilian Wundt, Friedrich Glasl, as well as our contemporary prominent scientists, such as Maria Ivanivna Piren and Viktor Mykhailovych Nahaiev.

The event turned out to be very meaningful and useful, and the students revealed themselves as true researchers and presented worthy works to the participants.
