In 1999, he graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law of Uzhhorod State University with a degree in Law and the qualification of Lawyer.
From 1999 to 2001, he taught at Uzhhorod State University.
From 2001 to 2005, he completed postgraduate studies at the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
In 2006, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences in speciality 12.00.03 (civil law and civil procedure; family law; private international law), titled “Civil-Law Protection of Copyright in the Context of Information Technology Development.”
Since 2007, he has worked at Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as a lecturer and associate professor. He teaches Intellectual Property Law, Copyright Law, International Legal Regulation of Intellectual Property, Comparative Civil Law, Contracts in Private International Law, and other courses.
He has practised law since 1998. He has been an attorney since 2008 and is a member of the Agricultural and Land Law Committee of the Ukrainian National Bar Association.
He is the author of several dozen academic and popular-science works, co-author of two monographs, and co-author of a civil law textbook.
Research interests include intellectual property law, comparative civil law, and international commercial arbitration.
